2 Families Who Lost Daughters In Deadly Crashes Fight To Change Law And Save Lives - CBS New York
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Some New York drivers are breaking the law and taking lives, but they’re still allowed back on the roads.
Now, two families who lost their daughters say if punishments were tougher, tragedies like theirs could be avoided.
“The guy knew he was not supposed to drive the car,” one father said.
“The system failed us. It’s also failing them,” a mother added.
Now, there’s a fight more than a decade in the making to change the law once and for all.
Carolyn Gusoff will have the story tonight on CBS2 News At 11.
