PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A Hampton Roads Regional Jail officer accused of stealing more than $2,000 in overtime payments has been banned from working in law enforcement in Virginia.
The Department of Criminal Justice Services decertified HRRJ Sergeant Tearsha Jones in August. DCJS lists the reasons as “fraudulent documentation” and lying during an internal affairs investigation.

Update: The lockdown has been lifted for the three Summerton area schools and the Clarendon School District 4 Summerton office, according to Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley.
