Abortion Battleground States Join Call to Dump Texas Law Fight - Bloomberg Law

Seventeen states embroiled in efforts to rein in abortion rights are supporting Texas officials in calling on a federal appeals court to end a lawsuit challenging Texas’ six-week abortion ban.

Abortion providers lack standing to haul the officials into court over the law known as SB 8 because they have no role in enforcing it, Louisiana, Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and West Virginia told the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
