Law enforcement was contacted Thursday following a report of a Greenwood High School student sending “inappropriate messages.”

A news release from Greenwood County School District 50 reports that administration at Greenwood High contacted law enforcement and district officials, who “worked together to complete a thorough investigation of the incident.”

The district said there have been no threats made toward the school or any student or staff member, but continued by saying “we will continue to investigate any possible threats made to the school or students and staff members,” the release says.

There will be additional law enforcement at the school on Friday, the district says. The student who sent the message “will be disciplined in accordance with the Students Rights & Responsibilities handbook.”
