JANESVILLE - The Rock County Impaired Driving Enforcement Task Force will be patrolling streets and highways seeking to ensure safe driving.

The task force has scheduled patrols for April 1 and 2 and April 15 and 16, according to a news release. The enhanced patrols will be on the lookout for those driving under the influence, seatbelt violations, improper use of child safety restraints and open intoxicants in vehicles.

Motorists are asked to obey the speed limit, buckle up, use designated drivers if you plan to drink, use taxi cabs or public transit if you feel buzzed.

Those who are part of the task force are the Rock County Sheriff's Office, the City of Beloit, City of Janesville, Town of Beloit, Town of Turtle, Clinton and Orfordville police departments.
