ARREST: Salamone, Richard c - (18) 4906 (b)(1) False Reports to Law Enforcement - CRIMEWATCH Berks County
On or about August 12,2021, Richard C. Salamone reported a firearm stolen from his vehicle while parked at the Walmart in Pottstown. Pottstown Police determined, through video surveillance, that no one had entered Salamone’s vehicle while parked in the lot. Salamone then, on September 10th, 2021, came to the Douglass Township Police and reported the gun stolen during an incident at his property on August 4th, 2021. Salamone claims to have reported to the responding officer during the August the 4th incident, that his gun was stolen. After a thorough investigation, police determined that Salamone gave false information and was charged with False Reports to Law Enforcement. Charges were filed through District Court 23-3-02 and Salamone awaits his preliminary hearing.
