WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. - A rural Illinois fire department is stepping up to help the Washington Park Fire Department after flames destroyed a city government building that housed the fire department. Firefighters said 15 men and women escaped without sustaining any injuries, but much of the fire department’s equipment is gone. SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - New motions have been filed on behalf of one of two men accused of kidnapping and terrorizing a missing woman in Dallas County. Cassidy Rainwater has been missing since late July. Court documents say deputies learned she was being held in a cage on a property on Moon Valley Road near Windyville. JENNINGS, Mo. - It appears that the fire at an abandoned bowling ball factory has restarted. St. Louis County Police Captain Norman Mann is telling people to avoid the areas near McLaran, Xograph, and Hord Avenues, plus Lucas and Hunt Road. Firefighters were able to contain the fire by around 5:00 pm Thursday. More than a dozen area fire departments responded to a large warehouse fire. They were called to the area at around 11:00 am and fought it for hours. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
