SAN ANTONIO - One of the student leaders involved in the P.A.M. Media Outreach teen summits is trying to land a spot in a prestigious law program.
17-year-old Nahommy Jimenez is a senior at Sam Houston High School.
She's been invited to take part in the Stanford Law and Trial Intensive Program.
She wants to study international relations and become a diplomat with the United Nations.
"Because I come from a country where I think and other people think women suffer discrimination in different ways, in my future I plan to carry out projects that could help the welfare of girls and women in Latin America and in African countries," says Jimenez. "I plan to achieve this with the knowledge that this program will help me and will give me."
Jimenez is trying to raise money to attend the Stanford Law and Trial Program.
She needs to raise $500 by next Wednesday, Feb. 16.
