BEAUMONT — The Bernsen Law Firm has filed a federal sex abuse case against Little League Baseball, Inc., Texas District 12 Little League, and Evadale Little League, linked to charges against Adam Isaacks, 38, the former Evadale Little League President and coach, according to information the firm provided to KFDM/Fox 4's Angel San Juan.

He's facing multiple charges including Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child and Indecency With a Child. The charges are filed in Jasper County and Sabine County. He's held in the Jasper County Jail on bonds that total several million dollars.

The Bernsen Law Firm released this statement: "Today 8 minor Plaintiffs and their families filed a historic lawsuit against Little League Baseball, Inc., Texas District 12 Little League, and Evadale Little League in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

“Plaintiffs are victims and survivors of childhood sexual assault, molestation, and abuse at the hands of their Little League Coach and League President, Adam Isaacks. The abuse started when some minor Plaintiffs were just 7 and 8 years old and continued for a period of years until the age of 11 and 12.”

“On December 30, 2021, parents and family members of the abused Little Leaguers located President/Coach Isaacks hiding in a trailer located at the Bear Creek Hunting Club in Sabine County, Texas. They surrounded the trailer and blocked all escape routes until law enforcement officers from Sabine County took him into custody. At the time of his arrest and capture, Adam Isaacks was President/Coach of Evadale Little League.”

“Little League President/Coach Isaacks chose his victims from his Evadale Little League baseball roster and fully exploited the position of authority bestowed upon him by the institution of Little League Baseball.”

“Defendants are liable for the grooming, sexual assaults, molestation, and abuses suffered by the Plaintiffs. All such grooming occurred under the authority of Little League Baseball, on the baseball field of Evadale Little League, during practices and games. Defendants failed to enforce safety precautions to guard against the foreseeable risk of sexual assault in the context of Little League Baseball. Defendants failed to comply with their duties and obligations to implement safety awareness, education and training to protect minor Plaintiffs.”

This is an ongoing investigation and Jasper County investigators encourage anyone with information about Isaacks to call (409) 384-5417.

Isaacks was president of the Evadale Little League until the board removed him at the end of December.

Deputies in Sabine County arrested him December 30, and Friday, December 31, Jasper County County Sheriff Mitchel Newman, Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan and others picked him up and brought him back.

Duncan says Isaacks is accused of indecency with a child at Sandy Creek Park in Jasper County.

Late Friday afternoon, December 31, the investigation led Jasper County deputies to the Silsbee area. They carried out a search warrant at the home of Adam Isaacks, with assistance from Hardin County Sheriff Mark Davis and his deputies.

Chief Deputy Duncan tells KFDM/Fox 4 they were looking for computers, flash drives, anything that might serve as evidence.

"Have faith in us, be patient," Chief Deputy Duncan told KFDM/Fox 4 News. "We know they're hurting, we know they're upset, but we want to proceed as slow as we can. That way, we can be thorough and get every piece of evidence that we need to properly prosecute this case. We don't want to make a misstep here. We want to do the best job we can do to honor these folks and these victims."

Two moms who say their sons were victims of Adam Isaacks are speaking out, claiming there are at least 11 victims, all around 11-years-old.

Angel San Juan reported on why the moms say their boys want their stories told.

The moms did not want their faces on camera in order to protect their sons' identities, but they definitely wanted their voices heard.

In front of Evadale's little league ball field, they shared the heart-wrenching experiences they say their sons suffered at the hands of Adam Isaacks, and they did so with their sons' permission.

"They chose to tell their story. They chose to come forward no matter the backlash, no matter how it's going to look to the community or their friends, They wanted to help the other kids and they wanted to put this person to a stop."

A person both mothers trusted with their boys. One of them allowing her son to go camping with Isaacks on the weekend of December 10-12.

Isaacks, who served as president of Evadale Little League, was regarded as a father figure to many boys in the community. But during that camping excursion, the boy expressed concern to his mom.

"He specifically said, 'Adam is being weird. Adam says there's two versions of himself. There's coach Adam and himself.'"

The day after returning from camping, the child would describe not the actions of a coach, but of an alleged sexual predator.

"My child made an outcry after realizing other friends had been abused."

The mom immediately filed a report with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office. That was on December 13. She says numerous emails and phone calls to the Sheriff's Office went unanswered.

She says she realized other parents were not notified. Frustrated with what she considered to be investigators dragging their feet, she took action into her own hands.

"At that point, we and the other parents decided to inform the parents of the allegations made against Isaacks. More children came forward, more children have told their truth. Jasper County could have prevented another assault in the time between my initial report and the time the parents were contacted."

One of those parents she notified stands with her now. When she spoke to her 11-year-old son, she says he told her Isaacks had been sexually abusing him for years, starting when the boy was five or six.

She says he even took her son across state lines. She says one of the assaults happened in Arkansas. The moms say Isaacks would use drugs and alcohol to rob the boys of their innocence.

"The way that Adam Isaacs has conducted himself with these children was as a friend, was as a father figure, was someone to lead them, and for them to follow. They thought everything was a game. When my son told me about it, he described as if he was throwing a ball with his friend. There was no fear or worry because Adam made him feel like it was okay to do the things that he made him do."

The parents decided law enforcement couldn't or wouldn't track down Isaacks, so they did so themselves, They located him at his deer lease in Sabine County where the moms claim the 38-year-old Isaacks engaged in sex crimes with children.

"So they flagged the police officer down and said, 'look, he's trying to destroy evidence. Y'all need to get here now or I'm going to do something.'"

They say Sabine County authorities responded quickly, arriving to the scene and taking Isaacks into custody.

"As they took him away, the children that were present clapped and cheered and cried. They were so thankful that somebody heard them. Most of the kids that this happens to, so it's so much validation just be believed, just to be heard."

And these moms want children who might have been victims, but fear coming forward, to know that they no longer have to suffer alone.

"We're here to anyone else that comes forward. There is an army here waiting to help you, whether it's moms, dads grandparents. We're here,"

A community joining forces to seek justice.

The moms tell us that the FBI is involved in the investigation since they say at least one of the boys was taken across state lines.

They also tell us that law enforcement has been able to recover cameras from the deer stand that could have evidence, and sex toys they expect will likely have DNA on them.

If you have a child, or know of a child who's been the victim of a sex crime or any kind of abuse, you can reach out to the state hotline at 1-800-252-5400.

Once that happens, law enforcement can get involved, and often, so does the Garth House at the request of law enforcement.

The Garth House is a safe place with multiple locations in Southeast Texas where a child can share his or her story without fear.
