CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2021–2022 REGULAR SESSION
An act to amend Section 19 of the Civil Code, relating to civil law.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
Existing law provides that a person who has actual notice of circumstances sufficient to put a prudent person on notice of a fact is deemed to have constructive notice of that fact in all cases where that fact is at issue.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to this provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
19.
Every person who has actual notice of circumstances sufficient to put a prudent person upon inquiry as to a particular fact has constructive notice of the fact itself in all cases in which, by prosecuting such inquiry, he or she that person might have learned that fact.
