Bowen’s Corner Elementary placed on lockdown due to nearby law enforcement activity - WCBD News 2

HANAHAN, S.C. (WCBD) – Bowen’s Corner Elementary has been placed on lockdown Friday morning due to nearby law enforcement activity.

A spokeswoman for the Berkeley County School District, Katie Tanner, tells News 2 the lockdown was implemented as a “precautionary measure to ensure student safety.”

Tanner says students are safe.

The lockdown began around 8:20 a.m. News 2 has reached out to the Hanahan Police Department for more information.
