Brookings law enforcement dreaming of a happy Christmas for area kids - KELO

BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Brookings, South Dakota law enforcement officers have Christmas on their minds.

On December 15th, officers will team up with the Brookings Walmart for their annual Christmas Kids and Cops program. They hope to make the holiday better for 36 children around the county. Donations are being accepted now to prepare for the event and can be dropped off at the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office or the Brookings Police Department.

Shopping and dinner with law enforcement officers as well as a visit from Santa are included in the program.
