Canan Law’s 14th annual St. Patrick’s Day benefit on the Canan Law Front Porch at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre raised nearly $8,000 for legal aid in St. Johns County.

The donation helps people who have civil legal service needs but cannot afford to hire an attorney have representation as well as disabled people and senior adults with similar needs.

Attendees have Irish food and drinks, read limericks and remember the late Senior Circuit Judge Richard Watson, an advocate for legal aid after whom the St. Johns County Judicial Center is named.

Dog Rose Brewing Co. in St. Augustine donated the beer and the nonprofit Alpha Omega Miracle Home supervised child care and a bounce house.
