CentralSquare Supports Law Enforcement Officers for 9/11 Trauma Event Series - Yahoo Finance

LAKE MARY, Fla., October 27, 2021--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CentralSquare Technologies, an industry leader in public sector technology, is partnering with Caron Treatment Centers for a two-part webinar series with the National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum: Trauma and 9/11: Facing Challenges, Together. The event aims to destigmatize trauma amongst law enforcement officers, address difficult events like 9/11 and offer resources to support those facing post-traumatic stress.

"We are proud to partner with Caron and the National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum to destigmatize the conversation around mental health in the law enforcement and first responder community," said CentralSquare CEO David Zolet. "Each day, law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to protect their communities. They are our first line of defense in times of crisis. It is critical that they have the mental health resources and support so that they can continue to protect our communities."

The online event will be broken into two parts, focused on convening conversations that address and support the mental health of law enforcement officers, and will take place during November.

  • Part 1: Hope – November 15-17 at 8 p.m. E.T. This session will feature 1:1 interviews focusing on hope amidst the trauma of 9/11, including responses to PTSI that have demonstrated potential; moments of communities pulling together for support; and, stories about community organizations supporting those affected by trauma and loss.

  • Part 2: Together – November 18 at 8 p.m. E.T. A live panel will focus specifically on trauma grounded in the 9/11 experience, with opportunities to hear stories from law enforcement officers in New York at the Pentagon and steps taken for self-care and mental health.

"In light of recent events, this program is essential in taking steps to understand what our law enforcement goes through, and how they learn to cope," said Marcia Ferranto, CEO of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. "We are honored to share this discussion with you in order to shed light on this critical topic, while continuing our mission to tell the story of American law enforcement."
