City man charged with false reports to law enforcement - Williamsport Sun-Gazette

The emergency tones came over the city police radio for a reported stabbing inside an apartment in the 600 block of Rose Street about 7:50 a.m. on Sept. 16. An ambulance and a paramedic supervisor also raced to the scene,

Officers spoke with the caller, Bryan Yaggie, 40, of 349 Rural Ave., as well with others at the scene, police said. Yaggie claimed there was a man inside with a machete, according to an affidavit. It turned out all to be bogus, police said, adding that there was no stabbing. There was no emergency or any danger to anyone, police said.

Yaggie has since been charged with false reports to law enforcement, false alarms to public safety and abuse of the 911 system, all misdemeanors, police said. He is free on $2,500 bail.
