Dayton law firm executive Erin Rhinehart shares 2022 insights - Dayton Business Journal - Philadelphia Business Journal
Erin Rhinehart is co-managing partner Faruki PLL in Dayton.
Faruki is a litigation firm led by trial lawyers. Rhinehart is president of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association; is an executive editor of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation’s premier publication, the Litigation Journal; has sat on the editorial board for the Law360 Media & Entertainment Law publication; and speaks regularly on media law issues, general litigation and negotiating skills.
She discussed with the DBJ an outlook for the new year.
Any expansion or growth plans in 2022? Our clients had a very busy 2021. They are growing, and so are we. Growth to meet our clients increasing needs is among the top priorities for Faruki PLL in 2022. Faruki PLL is actively recruiting attorneys and non-attorney leadership positions. We seek to enhance our core litigation and general counsel practice areas, and continue to expand into complementary practice areas to serve all of our clients’ needs.
What do you think is needed to bring Dayton back to its pre-pandemic levels of economic growth? Patience and perseverance. We need to continue to invest in people – employees, communities, those thriving and those in need. Dayton needs a strong workforce, engaged and motivated individuals.
What challenges are you most concerned about in 2022, and how are you addressing it? Like most businesses, law firms are not immune from the ongoing challenges associated with talent acquisition and retention; and maintaining and enhancing employee engagement among the heaviness of the enduring pandemic.
What is your current office plan? Are your employees working remote, full-time in office, or on a hybrid model? Do you expect this to change in 2022? We are fortunate to be able to offer our employees a flexible approach to in-person and remote work opportunities. We can serve our clients from anywhere. Well before the pandemic, Faruki PLL had employees working remotely, including attorneys who lived in and practiced from Michigan and California for several years. While most staff and attorneys chose to return to the office in mid-2021, several employees continue to work a hybrid approach. For many years, we knew what the rest of the world has come to understand, with good communication, excellent work can be done in and out of the office.
