ATLANTA, Ga. (WGXA)-- On the sixth day of the legislative session, Senate Republicans took the Capitol's south stairs to announce their biggest priorities going forward.

Immediately after adjourning for the day, Georgia’s republican senators came down these stairs as a united front.

Together, they announced their four-point to-do list.

1. Public safety. Senators are proposing laws for more severe consequences for riots, vandalism, and assaulting first responders.

“This legislation also holds cities accountable for their failure to provide resources to the men and women of public safety that they need to protect their citizens. This unchecked violence has led to even more violence," said Senator Randy Robertson.

2. Defend freedom of speech. Several Conservative politicians have been banned from Twitter, including Marjorie Taylor Green and former-President Donald Trump. Senate Republicans suggested laws to prevent other conservative voices and opinions from being banned or hidden online.

“I will introduce legislation to protect Georgia users across all major social media platforms from the ongoing censorship that has unfairly targeted conservatives and anyone who seems to challenge the prevailing thought," said Senator Greg Dolezal.

3. Ban critical race theory and all similar topics. Senators say no student, from kindergarten to college, should be taught about inherent biases or prejudices among ethnicities. Senator Bo Hatchett suggested that schools denying they cover critical race theory could still discuss potentially inflammatory subjects.

“We must ensure that no student is taught to feel guilty or less than because of how they were born. Scapegoating and stereotyping are not acceptable teaching methods. Period," said Hatchett.

4. Expand the labor force by helping more people enter technical programs.

“Our caucus is committed to creating great opportunities for Georgians willing to work while addressing the hiring shortages and increased work-readiness for businesses in our state," said Senator Brian Strickland.

After announcing their to-do list, the Senators left no time for questions but instead suggested that everyone go read the bills for themselves.

Senate Democrats have yet to respond with their own list.
