DeSantis signs law to scrutinize school books, limit school board terms - Orlando Sentinel

Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday signed a bill into a law that he said will “make sure parents have a seat at the table” when public schools decide what to stack in their libraries or use in classroom lessons, but critics fear it will lead to continued efforts to ban certain books.

The law (HB 1467) also for the first time imposes term limits on Florida school board members, prohibiting them from serving more than 12 years.
