Edgefield County Sheriff's Office: Suspect in custody after woman found dead in Edgefield County - WRDW-TV

EDGEFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office confirms they are investigating a death of a white female in Edgefield County.

Deputies say they are investigating this as a homicide and a suspect is now in custody, but could not release a name at this time. Next of kin for the deceased has been notified and the identity will be released Monday morning.

Law enforcement had the road blocked off at Red Oak Grove Rd. and Highway 23 in Edgefield County after a passerby reported a body laying off the side of the road.
