Matthew Axelrod, a former top official at the U.S. Department of Justice, reported earning a $2.9 million partnership share at Linklaters as part of his nomination to serve in the Biden administration’s Department of Commerce.
Axelrod, a partner in the firm’s disputes practice in Washington, D.C., was nominated last month to serve as assistant secretary for export enforcement in the Commerce Department. His clients included PricewaterhouseCoopers, Vodafone Group, and international infrastructure firm Balfour Beatty, according to a financial disclosure statement.
