Father of suspect accused of murdering elderly woman said daughter-in-law had son under spell - WFTV Orlando
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Ponce Inlet police are investigating the first murder in the coastal town of 3,200 people in nearly 20 years.
An 89-year-old woman was killed by her caregiver and her caregiver’s husband, according to police.
Medics discovered the woman shot several times at her condo on Links Village Drive Wednesday morning.

A 911 call released of one suspect’s father to police may shed light on a possible motive.
Police are not commenting on a motive just yet, but in that 911 call, the male suspect’s father says his daughter-in-law was talking about religion and the devil, and she had his son under a spell.
Micayla Yusco, 22, cried with her hands cuffed and folded in front of her while her husband, 24-year-old Tyden Guinn, calmly stood shackled before a judge as the couple faced a murder charge.

Police said the pair shot 89-year-old Margaret Hindsley multiple times in her bedroom at her condo complex that mostly houses retirees.
Hindsley was breathing when medics found her, but she later died at the hospital.
Police would not say if anything was taken or missing from the condo.
Yusco had been Hindsley’s caregiver for more than four months. She’d help prepare meals, wash clothes and clean the condo.
Police are still investigating how Yusco and Hindsley first connected. They said the couple confessed the crime to Guinn’s parents, and his father then called 9-1-1.
Officers said while Guinn would not talk to them, detectives did interview Yusco for several hours.
Both are being held without bond on first-degree murder and armed burglary charges.
Guinn served in the Air Force and has no criminal record. Yusco was arrested for domestic violence in 2019, but charges were dropped.
