FLINT, MI -- State Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich has introduced legislation to repeal Michigan’s emergency manager law and a separate bill designed to identify local governments that are experiencing financial stress sooner so they can avoid state takeovers.

Ananich, D-Flint, said it should be obvious that the current law requires replacement and isn’t currently being used anywhere in the state.
