The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, released on Monday, repeatedly mentions Florida as an example of a place where the effects of climate change are already being felt, both economically and environmentally. The findings in the report are dire, stating that the time to act on climate change is now.

Colon cancer awareness month
March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month. It's a reminder for everyone over age 50 to be screened for colorectal cancer. Jacksonville author Teresa Davis-Mills survived colon cancer as she describes in her book, and she’s passing along a message to make sure you get your colonoscopy.
JU law school
Jacksonville University is starting a new law school. Its new JU College of Law will be located in downtown Jacksonville, supported by private funding and a $5 million commitment from Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry.
