A former student at the Emory University School of Law in Atlanta who alleges she was raped twice by a fellow student and then retaliated against by the school for reporting the crimes is now suing the school.
A lawsuit filed Nov. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia alleges Emory violated federal Title IX and Clery Act regulations in failing to appropriately address the student’s reports of abuse. The female student, identified as Jane Doe, in the complaint, claims a male student abused her, raped her twice and stalked her from August 2018 through November 2019.
