Former Hampden Selectman Vincent Villamaino admits violating conflict of interest law, pays $4,000 fine - MassLive.com
HAMPDEN — Former Hampden Board of Selectmen member Vincent Villamaino has paid a $4,000 civil penalty for violating the state’s conflict of interest law, according to a signed disposition.
The State Ethics Commission and Villamaino entered into an agreement that Villamaino had violated two sections of the conflict of interest law by participating as a selectman in matters involving a country club he belonged to, had done private work for and resided next to. In signing the agreement, Villamaino admitted to the violations, waived his right to a hearing and paid a $4,000 civil penalty, according to the commission.
Villamaino, who served on the board of selectmen from 2007-19, declined to comment.
