Gigi Sohn, the president’s controversial pick for a vacant seat on the Federal Communications Commission, earned $149,000 in consulting fees from Georgetown Law’s Institute for Technology Law & Policy.
The pay came in the form of a consulting fee, according to Sohn’s updated financial disclosure released Friday. Sohn is a distinguished fellow at the institute. The disclosure also showed she received $137,000, listed as consulting fees, from the Benton Institute for Broadband & Society, a group that supports net neutrality provisions and advocates for providing broadband. Sohn is a senior fellow and advocate for the society.
