Gov. Hochul: Law-Abiding New Yorkers Deserve to be Safe! - The New York State Senate

First it was bail reform, then parole changes. Now, it’s “Less is More,” a new law that lets convicted felons out of prison well before they’re eligible for parole and offers lax parole standards upon release. Because of it, we’ve already seen a spate of violent offenders return to their communities and prey upon law-abiding families and residents.

This madness must stop. Crime victims deserve to be protected from those who harmed them and their loved ones, and all New Yorkers should feel safe in their neighborhoods.

This petition calls on the governor and the Legislature to do what’s right and put law-abiding New Yorkers first.
