Gov. McMaster to discuss law enforcement pay raises - Live 5 News WCSC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) - South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster is set to hold a news conference Thursday morning to discuss law enforcement pay raises.

McMaster will be joined by members of the General Assembly, South Carolina law enforcement officers and Department of Administration officials.

The raises were recommended by the Department of Administration’s Division of State Human Resources after an analysis of state law enforcement officer pay was requested by McMaster in January.

The recommended raises have been included in the House Ways and Means Committee budget proposal.

Thursday’s news conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the statehouse in Columbia.
