Governor DeSantis signs bill into law benefitting students suffering from epilepsy - WEAR

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into that Friday afternoon that benefits the safety of students in Florida schools suffering from epilepsy.

Under the new law, school personnel who are in regular contact with a student with epilepsy will be required to attend trainings relating to the care of that student through a submitted seizure action plan.

Families of students suffering from epilepsy will now be able to create and submit an individualized seizure action plan to receive health care at school.
