Group sues Michigan Secretary of State, Ypsilanti Township over petition law - MLive.com

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A local political committee attempting to challenge new Ypsilanti Township zoning maps allowing more marijuana businesses in some areas has sued the township and Michigan’s top elections official.

The group has spent approximately $50,000 collecting signatures in the hopes of bringing the fate of a newly-approved township zoning ordinance and maps to voters in a referendum, the lawsuit says.
