Hamlet & Associates is now Hamlet Law; announces two new partners - StarNewsOnline.com

Hamlet & Associates, based in Wilmington, recently changed its named to Hamlet Law and added two partners — Nicole B. Slaughter and Jessica S. Humphries. Hamlet Law focuses on construction and commercial litigation.

Slaughter has been with the firm since its inception in 2012 and has represented businesses, individuals, and governmental organizations throughout the Southeast, serving as lead counsel in numerous complex multiparty lawsuits in both state and federal courts.

Slaughter is a member of the board of directors of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. She is also a founding member and member of the board of directors of the North Carolina Civil Collaborative Law Association.

Humphries joined the firm in November 2012, shortly after its formation.

Humphries currently serves on the board of directors for the New Hanover County Bar Association and is the president of the Coastal Women Attorneys, a chapter of the N.C. Association of Women Attorneys. She is also actively involved with Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity, currently serving on its board of directors and regularly volunteering as a Women Build Team Leader.
