Harrisburg-based law firm McNees Wallace & Nurick enters Pittsburgh with eight lawyers from Blumling & Gusky - Pittsburgh Business Times - Pittsburgh Business Times
Harrisburg-based law firm McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC has opened a downtown Pittsburgh office with eight attorneys formerly of Blumling & Gusky LLP, including Robert Blumling, a founding member who has practiced law for close to 40 years.
McNees will initially occupy Blumling & Gusky’s office space in the Koppers Building.
Two came aboard as members: Michael Klein and David Levine are now part of McNees’ Real Estate and Construction & Procurement Law practice groups.
Blumling, Ross Giorgianni, Lyndall Huggler and Amanda Kraft joined the aforementioned practice groups as of counsel attorneys. Blumling and Huggler are also part of McNees’ Corporate & Tax Law Practice Group while Giorgianni is additionally part of the firm’s litigation and insurance law practice groups.
Rochelle Koerbel joins McNees as of counsel in the firm’s Litigation, Labor and Employment, and Construction & Procurement law practice groups. Meagan Truong is of counsel in the firm’s Corporate & Tax Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law and Real Estate practice groups.
“This is a big moment for McNees,” McNees Chair Brian Jackson said in a prepared statement. “Not only are we gaining the immense talent and deep well of experience of eight attorneys, but we’re also now better able to serve the comprehensive needs of clients throughout the Pittsburgh region and across western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and West Virginia.”
McNees’ Columbus, Ohio, office provides natural synergies with the Pittsburgh team, Jackson said. He described the additions as a “perfect fit,” strategically and culturally.
“McNees is one of the most respected firms in Pennsylvania, because they value and nurture relationships,” Blumling said in a prepared statement. “They trust and empower their attorneys to do what’s right and what’s best for their clients. That’s the kind of culture any attorney would want to be a part of.”
The additions position McNees as a 150-lawyer firm that serves clients worldwide. Its other offices are in Devon, Lancaster, Scranton, State College and York, plus Frederick, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
