Holcomb appeals judge's ruling to uphold Indiana's emergency powers law - WISHTV.com
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Gov. Eric Holcomb is appealing a judge’s ruling upholding the state’s new emergency powers law.
He’s hoping the state Supreme Court will hear the case.
The ruling says allowing lawmakers to call their own special session does not violate the state Constitution.
Holcomb said in a statement Friday, “This lawsuit is about making sure that state government operates the way our constitution outlines. The proper functioning of state government is critical, especially during times of emergency.”
