Honor ride to pay tribute to fallen law enforcement officers - Bay News 9

TAMPA, Fla. — An honor ride will pay tribute Wednesday to two fallen Bay area officers.

A group of 20 motorcycle riders from Broward County will deliver two quilts to the families of Tampa Police Officer Jesse Madsen, and Pinellas Deputy Michael Magli.

Both men lost their lives in the line of duty last year.

Madsen was killed in March 2021 in Tampa when he drove his vehicle into the path of a I-275 wrong-way driver to save others.

Magli was deploying stop sticks out into East Lake Road in Tarpon Springs on February 2021 when a drunk driver lost control and crashed into his cruiser in the median, trapping him underneath it.
