I remember the first time I sat behind a desk in a law office and thought I was a now a lawyer. Boy, was I mistaken. Your first few years as a lawyer will be the most stressful time of your life. I have experienced both ups and downs since that first day, and I hope that learning from my mistakes will give you piece of mind knowing that you will one day be sitting behind a computer screen penning a letter to your younger self.

The practice of law is a privilege. The fact that you are sitting at your desk reading this article means that you have accomplished something that many fail to attain. But with privilege comes great responsibility. You will be entrusted to perform work for clients who expect you to solve a legal issue and obtain great results. This responsibility may seem daunting, but you will learn that you have the tools for success. In the end, just remember that your career is a journey of growth and experience.
