Italy Gazettes Law Implementing 2022-24 State Budget - Bloomberg Tax

The Italian Official Gazette Dec. 31, 2021, published Law No. 234, implementing the 2022-24 state budget. The law includes measures: 1) extending deductions until Dec. 31, 2024, for expenses incurred to improve energy efficiency; 2) extending tax credits for R&D expenses until Dec. 31, 2031; 3) providing tax exemptions for workers due to the coronavirus pandemic; 4) allowing tax credits for 2022 of up to 13.2 million euros (US$14.9 million) for the restoration and construction of qualifying sports facilities; 5) providing tax credits to publishing companies; 6) establishing withholding tax rates for employees of 2.5 percent, 5 percent, 7.5 percent, ...
