It's time to enforce the law on immigration - Alpena News
The song from every lawmaker about our immigration system is that it’s broken! The truth is the system is very solvent, and legislators do not want to enforce the law. I checked with the office of Congressman Bart Stupak years ago to find out what exactly is the law on immigration.
The secretary called the U.S. Justice Department in Detroit, and Homeland Security. The law specifically states that the minute a person steps across the border line of the USA, it is automatically a felony, and they are subject to immediate arrest, detained for questioning, fingerprinting, photos taken, and immediately deported. It does not say he/she be held in a holding area or motels with all kinds of free care compliments of the taxpayers! Many legislators won’t touch this issue as they are afraid of being branded racist by the leftist media!
The Texas Governor just enacted a publicity stunt that did no good. All they will do in D.C. is ship them all over the country. What the governor should have done, and would have been a national hero for, was to defy Washington and enforce the laws on the books. Who can call him wrong for enforcing the law? He could have had, by law, the local militia back him up against the Washington thugs.
The IRS finally socked it to Disney World for its political behavior.
Now it’s about time that they crack down on these tax-exempt religious groups that have been sponsoring illegals, and ignoring the laws of the land by circumventing Congress and taxpayers. When they have to pay taxes, they won’t be so generous.
This open door policy is an unconstitutional mandate by special interest groups that is going to turn this country from united into a multicultural, multilingual land mass.
