Jackson councilman is wanting to help law enforcement solve a cold case in the city - WAPT Jackson
JACKSON, Miss. —
The victims Alicia Brown, Deanne Bell and Elijah Bridges were shot and killed at the business on Jackson State University's homecoming night.
They were celebrating the victory when they were funned down around 2:30 a.m that Sunday.
Stokes said he wants to see this murder investigation and other cold cases in the city solved.
"Family members, you keep speaking up, speaking out and keep doing something to let the public know that you're fighting for your loved ones and offering rewards, things like that to help solve these crimes," Stokes said.
Stokes said he will continue to push for rewards for information on other unsolved cases as well.
Jackson police identified suspect Jeremy Johnson in connection with the shooting in October and issued a warrant out for his arrest.
