Justice Breyer receives UVA School of Law's highest honor - NBC 29
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -
A member of the U.S. Supreme Court made his way to the University of Virginia’s School of Law Tuesday afternoon.
Justice Stephen Breyer is adding to his list of accomplishments. He was awarded the the Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medal in Law. UVA President Jim Ryan says this award is one of UVA’s highest honors.
Justice Breyer has another tie to Charlottesville, too. His former clerk is the Dean of the School of Law. The two reunited with an open conversation to students as a way to inspire the next generation.
Justice Breyer is retiring at the end of the 2021 Supreme Court term and this was just one way to honor his service.
