Kentucky Abortion Law Should be Revived, State Tells Court - Bloomberg Law
Kentucky is asking a federal court to lift an order blocking it from enforcing a ban on abortions sought because of the fetus’ sex, race, color, national origin, or prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome.
The case involves what is known as a “reason” ban that makes it a crime for a doctor to perform an abortion at any stage of pregnancy if he or she knows a person wants one based on what the state calls a “discriminatory” reason.
