Killer's hand-drawn map leads police to body of sister-in-law he allegedly murdered - WKRC TV Cincinnati
JACKSON, Ms. (CNN/WLBT/WKRC) - The remains of a woman found at a site mapped out by a convicted killer before his execution have been confirmed to belong to his sister-in-law.
David Neal Cox gave the map and a letter to his attorneys before his execution on November 17. Cox was on death row after pleading guilty to murdering his estranged wife. He had previously been a suspect in his sister-in-law Felicia Cox's 2017 disappearance.
Prosecutors agreed to grant him immunity in her disappearance in exchange for the location of her body. He agreed and let his lawyers hand over the information after his death. A search team found remains there in mid-December.
The coroner has now confirmed the remains are hers by comparing the DNA to her daughter's DNA.
