Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is Sunday, Jan. 9 - KRCRTV.COM

CALIFORNIA — Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is Sunday, Jan. 9.

According to the the Officer Down Memorial Page, here are some ways to show your support:

  • Wear blue clothing in support of law enforcement
  • Send a card of support to your local police department or state agency
  • Ask children in your community to write letters in support of law enforcement
  • Participate in Project Blue Light -- proudly display your blue light in support of law enforcement
  • Share a positive law enforcement experience or officer you want to honor on social media (be sure to tag the ODMP Facebook page so they can see and share as well)

Most importantly, if you see a police officer, thank a police officer.

L.E.A.D. was established to support and thank law enforcement officers for their dedication and service to their communities.
