Law enforcement close US-23 in Alpena County - UpNorthLive.com

ALPENA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) --
UPDATE 9:32 p.m. - Michigan State Police report one person is in custody and police are clearing the scene. MSP did not release any other information.

Alpena County Central Dispatch told UpNorthLive News US-23 is closed between Ossineke Road and Piper Road in Ossineke for an incident that law enforcement is responding to.
Michigan State Police said in a Tweet, the MSP Emergency Support Team has been called to a residence on US-23. MSP posted the tweet around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
Lieutenant Derrick Carroll said the initial report indicates it is a domestic violence incident. Lt. Carroll did not have any other information to give at the time UpNorthLive News contacted him.
People are being asked to avoid the area. At this time we don't know when US-23 will reopen.
