Law enforcement receive call about weapon near Berkeley High School following fights - ABC NEWS 4

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — Law enforcement is investigating reports of a weapon near the Berkeley High School campus following multiple fights on Friday.
Earlier in the afternoon, two fights took place on campus, officials say. These fights did not garner a large police response.
At around 3 p.m., a third fight broke out, officials say. Almost simultaneously, law enforcement received a call that a weapon was in the area of the high school.
The school went into lockdown, and police searched the campus. The reports of the weapon are "unsubstantiated," according to Berkeley County School District.
During the lockdown, one student experienced a medical emergency, officials say. EMS reported to the campus to assist the student.
Students were dismissed from school under normal circumstances.
Berkeley High's Friday night football game has been postponed until Saturday at noon, according to BCSD.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned for further updates.
