Law enforcement responding to plane crash near Wichita Valley Airport - KFDX - Texomashomepage.com

WICHITA COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — Wichita County law enforcement officials are currently responding to a report of a plane crash close to the Wichita Valley Airport.

The crash was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The crash reportedly happened on the south side of the train tracks that follow Old Iowa Park Road.

According to scanner traffic, Air Evac was called to the scene.

The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Park Police and Iowa Park firefighters are among the agencies currently responding to the crash.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is taking the lead on the investigation.
