Suspect last spotted outside Canton Burger King

CANTON, Miss. —

Law enforcement officials in Canton are looking for a man who shot at a deputy.

Canton police said it happened earlier Friday evening in Leflore County.

After shooting at a sheriff's deputy, Canton's police chief said the suspect fled and was last spotted in Canton outside the Burger King on West Peace Street.

Police said the man jumped out of the vehicle he was in and ran off.
