Law enforcement seeking man who fled from crash scene on SR-598 near Leesville Road - Galion Inquirer

LEESVILLE — Crawford County law enforcement officers are seeking a man who fled the scene of a crash late Sunday evening.

As of 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, the sheriff’s office did not have any new information about the situation.

A spokesman for the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office said a male subject was involved in a single-vehicle crash along State Route 598 just north of Leesville Road. The man is apparently wanted on multiple warrants and fled when officers arrived at the scene.

The spokesman said the male subject suffered a head injury in the crash and was bleeding from his head when he fled from officers. The man is described as bald and was last seen wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

Officers began conducting a house-to-house search of the area in the vicinity of the crash site looking for the fugitive.

The sheriff’s spokesman did not release the man’s identity.
