Law enforcement take part in annual torch run for 2022 Special Olympics - WEAR

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Law enforcement officers in Escambia County carried the torch Monday for the Special Olympics.

The annual torch run raises awareness and funds for the sporting event.

The run started at the Florida-Alabama state line.

Runners carried the torch from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office on Leonard Street to the Pensacola Police Department, then continued to Bartram Park in Downtown Pensacola.

The 2022 Special Olympics USA Games will be held in June.
