Law enforcement to hold breakfast benefit to help Pottawatomie County deputy shot in line of duty - KOCO Oklahoma City

MCLOUD, Okla. —

Law enforcement will hold a benefit breakfast this weekend to help a Pottawatomie County deputy on his road to recovery after a suspect shot him seven times in Bethel Acres.

Deputy Garey Knoles was shot with a high-powered rifle Friday morning after responding to a domestic violence incident call at a home in Bethel Acres, according to the McLoud Police Department. Officials said off-duty law enforcement from the area will host a Badges and Burritos fundraiser Saturday morning for Knoles to help in his long and costly road to recovery.

All donations will go to Knoles and his family, according to police department officials.

The breakfast benefit is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lowe's Home Improvement at 4817 No. Kickapoo Ave. in Shawnee.
