Bio blast: The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners
National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners is open to all health care professionals, frontline staff, correctional personnel and first responders who qualify for certification and are interested in learning comprehensive dementia education, who value dementia certification and who are committed to ending abuse and neglect of our most vulnerable elders.
The council was formed to promote global standards of excellence in dementia and Alzheimer's disease education to professionals who support the health care industry, caregivers, frontline staff, first responders and correctional personnel who provide services to dementia clients.
As the number of dementia cases continues to increase nationally and worldwide, there is a great necessity to ensure that caregivers, staff and those supporting the health care industry, correctional facilities and first responder entities are well trained to provide appropriate, competent and sensitive direct care and support for the dementia patients.
